CFE#8: Pan to Scratch - The Stratified Course c20 $7ppdUS/$9ppdINT
Endless (perveyor of the wonderful Earjerk, member of Drunjus and Second Family Band) really knows how to scratch up a tape. The sounds of a tape recorder left on long after the music has ended. The whip of the wind over a built-in-mic, the pocket rustle and the panning hum of a car passing by. A walk through the woods picking up trash and banging out rythms on rust and paper cups. Riffing in a melodica found under the moss. Edition of 50 tapes in sewn burlap pouches with a cardstock insert.

CFE#13: Zashiki Warashi - Salamander c60 $7ppdUS/$9ppdINT
Carter Thornton is no stranger to throwing something down, weather it's his recent LP on Conduit Creations with collaborations with everyone from Burning Star Core to Zaimph, or his time spent in Enos Slaughter (with brothers from NNCK and Sunburned), Izititiz, and Piegeons, the man has made a dent in the New York shamble folk that's for sure. This tape show's a wide range of everything from his off-kilter, ringing classical guitar work to bent up mixes of swirling static, dog barks, jingled bells and jangled drums, and slowly building into the intense fuzz of the B-side only to end with a warped keyboard demo jam at the end. Strange is only the beginning. Edition of 50 tapes in full-color wrap-around 'Wappenhalter-style' sleeves laid on leaves picked from the summit of Mt. Jeez and tied shut with twine.

CFE#14: Joseph McNulty - For Warm Fire & Water c41 $7ppdUS/$9ppdINT
When he's not teaching kids saxophone, Joseph McNulty lays down a string of guitars, tosses them into a pile of drums and noises, and occasionally drops a few words on top. A pure garden of back porch folk without the downer. A good time to be had just laying back on the tree-trunk and reading a book. Bright and coasting with the wind, droning into melodies to BBQ to and spinning it all back home to the melodies first handed to you. Spring time tunes at their finest. Edition of 50 tapes in wrap-around collage art tied closed with twine with two cardstock inserts and a piece of a local map.

CFE#16 Archers by the Sea/Kawrelia Soul Collective split c60 $7ppdUS/$9ppdINT
A glorious split from foreign land brothers and sisters. The A side's got Vincent Caylet, a french-man who has been dropping little fog clouds for the past few years as one half of Monks of the Balhill and sittin' solo as "V" and The Pistil Cosmos. Now as Archers by the Sea he works out a set folk songs, overflowing with precious melodies and covered in layers and layers of heavenly memory-clouded reverb, warm tape hiss, and in-the-red muffles. Over the course of these five tracks he pulls it all together into ear-filling dense beauty. On the flip side are Kawrelia Soul Collective, a family of Russian/Finnish folks with a room full of pots and pans and an affinity for making kitten noises. Delay-stuttering acoustic lullabies, coos and squawks, junk percussion, and the great feeling of the open air. Water-colored and handwritten tape labels in a embossed sewn-felt pouch with an insert and a painted-tied-pouch of shells found on the banks of the Gatton Rocks swimming hole. Edition of 50.
